It’s a short week, and we’re traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, so no meal planning for me! Of course that means I have absolutely no idea what we will be eating for dinner in about2.5 hours when Mr. Acorns gets home, but we will figure that out. Take-out Chinese food would give us leftovers for tomorrow night and solve the problem of not leaving leftovers when we leave town. There – problem solved in one, thinking-out-loud paragraph and an IM conversation with Mr. Acorns.
So I have no food tips for this week other than wishing everyone a great Thanksgiving holiday. I think the family menu (my mother is hosting like 20 people – yikes!) includes the featured turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, broccoli casserole, and what we call Cyndi Green Beans. Add to that like 3 pies (apple, squash, and pecan) and a birthday cake for a baby cousin and my rear end will only fit in leggings or fat pants by the weekend.
I am in the middle of preparing my boss for a trial that is set to begin on Monday, so my apologies for the blog silence but I worked a lot of this past weekend and sadly will likely be working a lot of the holiday weekend from my parents’ house. But I will post when I can and will definitely be back on the blog wagon next week as things settle down a bit.
Happy Thanksgiving Week everyone!
