M is for Medicine

Because yep, we have another sick kid.

I was looking at the calendar and it looks we made it just past 35 days without a sick visit for one of the kids. Which, given our history this past winter, is a freaking miracle!

Girl has an ear infection. She’s been working on her two-year molars as well, and I think what started out as teething ended up in an ear infection from all the extra fluid in her sinuses, etc. Poor monkey. I hate seeing my little ones so miserable.

M can also stand for melting – which is what most human beings will do if they step outside here in lovely suburban New York today. It is currently, on my deck, in the shade, 97 degrees. That thermometer is in the shade 100% of the time. It is almost 100 degrees. On May 29. There is no doubt, my dear friend K, that the world is ending. What the hell???? Across town at one of the weather stations it currently registers as 95 degrees with a heat index of like 103. INSANITY.

Now please excuse me while I try to go peel off my skin to remain cool.
