Well, we have reached the end of the 10 weeks of Project 10!!! But just as I always say, life is a journey, and it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon (quoting my fav Alex & Ani bracelet, I swear they got that one from me!)….. I plan to keep going with my Well-Being Wednesday posts as I always have. I think it’s important for me to do the weekly posts. It gives me a place to share my successes and stumbles, get ideas and share some new ones, and it holds me accountable to all of you!
It’s not quite official weigh-in week yet (that’s next week based on my new schedule, once a month the week of the 23rdish), but it’s been a good 2 weeks. Yesterday I was down to my lowest weight yet since starting this journey, one I haven’t seen in about 6 years! Of course today I started with PMS symptoms so I know that by next week’s official weigh in I’ll end up gaining and look like an idiot, but I know it’s slowly coming off.
And in the best well-being news of all, I finished up physical therapy today! I’m cleared to start my running again, just very slowly and gently. My plan is to start with 2 slow miles this Sunday, walking as necessary. My long-term goal is to get back to 5K distance by the end of October then spend the winter getting faster. I want to do a real 5K race by my birthday, and then train for the 10K in July again, because that race was absolutely incredible! I still have dreams of that half-marathon, but my body is telling me to slow down, so slow down I shall.
I also finally found the new yoga DVD I had purchased then misplaced (you know, I put it in a safe place….), and dusted off my yoga mat so I’m ready to incorporate that more into my training. I ordered an i like book today, and am excited for its arrival. I was starting to do something like it on my own, but staring at a blank page each night was too daunting. I’m excited for its arrival so I can add another tool to my arsenal to bring positivity into my life.
Work is absolutely insane – I have 7 briefs due within the next 15 days, so my head is spinning and I find myself stalling and ignoring the work, choosing to blog or Facebook instead because I simply can’t deal. But I wrote 2 briefs yesterday, and want to start the third by tomorrow so I need to dig into this box full of information and get ‘er done.
