Vacation, all I ever wanted
Vacation, had to get away*
As most of you already know, the recent blog silence is owed to the fact that I was preparing for, and now officially on – VACATION!
(of course I’ve already drafted a consent order, reviewed 2 briefs, and will be drafting a counterstatement of facts today or tomorrow, but I don’t get paid time off and litigation waits for no one…..and hey, it’s money!)
I hope to blog a few times while we’re gone, and just wanted to wish everyone a very happy end of summer and return to school. For those with little ones entering Kindergarten and preschool, I wish you and your little ones a wonderful new school year. My oldest moves up to a pre-K room at his daycare when we return in 2 weeks, and my youngest is moving up to a “big girl” room with a computer and real focus on potty learning/training. I can’t even imagine what I will be like when we send them off to ‘real’ school. I cry just thinking about it!
So far we’ve had a chance to relax with the A family — just chatting, catching up, some swimming and lots of fun with matchbox cars. Last night we got to spend a few hours with good friends and their kids – we actually had 5 kids under 5 playing together happily for almost 4 hours! Tonight more good friends are coming over for dinner, and my sister-in-law K arrives with her little one who is just a few months younger than my Girl. So we’ll have lots of little cousin fun for the next day or so. Then we are off to the cabin!!!!!
We are definitely holding on to the last breaths of this summer with all of our might.
