It has been a few weeks since I had a WBW post up, so I thought it was time to check in. I got a new scale, so my numbers are a bit off from the past, but I’m rolling with it:
Weigh-in 3/6/13
Today’s Weight: 167.4
Change from 2/27/13 (167.6): -.2
Change from 2013 re-start (166.2): +1.2
The gain of 1.2 is partially my own fault, partially the new scale. But I’m owning it. I’ve been bad the past few weeks, not trying very hard, etc. But this past Saturday I ran a 5k and the running bug is back – man I love it! And this from the girl who just 5 years ago said “I only run for my life.”
Well, when I think about it, I am running for my life. I’m running for my health, to live a good life, a healthy life. And what is more important than that???
And so – I went grocery shopping this week and stocked up on some yummy salad supplies, a new salad dressing, and some good snacks. I’m ready for this. I am currently battling a suspected case of strep throat, but I hope to feel better once my medicine kicks in tomorrow or Friday. Until then, it will be hot tea, soft food, and taking it easy for me.

I kind of lose my desire to try sometimes, but I find if I write down a good healthy grocery list, look through Fitness magazine, and call a workout buddy it gives me more motiviation. Good luck…enjoy the run bug (just in time for spring!)
Good luck, mama! You got this.
And, I hope you’re feeling better soon. The winter months are a downer for every aspect of life. Makes it harder, for sure. I’m gonna sound like an ad, but get some Gaia Elderberry and take 2 tsps a day. I will guarantee you that you’ll feel better super fast.
xo
You look great by the way! The winter months get me in a bit of a slump too. But you make me realize I NEED to get in better shape regardless of the weather. I run in place on dull winter days when I don’t have the time to jog with my dog or take a Pilates class. You’ve GOT this! Remember…just posting about it is inspiring!
I hear you on the running bug
Hope you feel better soon … strep throat is the worst, especially when you have little ones. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
What a creative way to keep yourself accountable – posting it! It makes such a difference to find something you love to keep you active! I’m like Jackie and find little ways to slip things into my day – squats while brushing my teeth, butt squeezes at red lights …
Feel better!
The hardest part is owning up to yourself when you haven’t been keeping promises to your health. You are on the right track- it’s not magic. The fact that you are doing anything IS more progress than most people ever make! I hope you’re on the road to health now! Keep on keeping. You’re doing great. A few steps in either direction are just what they are: steps. The more steps you make, the better you get at walking
You’re an inspiration!
As always, you are awesome. xo
